The session of the Council on improvement of investment climate affiliated to the Governor of Novgorod Region took place on January 23. The event was conducted personally by Governor of Novgorod Region Andrey Nikitin.
Participating in the session were the heads of federal and regional executive bodies, heads of public associations and business representatives. The main subject of the session was the governmental support measures rendered to the investors who execute investment projects in the agricultural sector in Novgorod Region.
Participants considered practical issues of formation and development of agricultural cooperatives and possible mechanisms of the preferential loans for agricultural enterprises and farmers rendered by lending organizations. In addition to it, results of “Buy Novgorod-made products” project implementation were summarized within the session framework. The project was launched on June 1, 2017, and involves marking products manufactured in Novgorod Region with a special logo. The main objective is to popularize and promote locally manufactured products, both within and outside the region, to increase the sale volume of Novgorod goods, and to perfect the commodity distribution routes. Since the project launch, it was joined by 920 retail outlets.
The Council on improvement of investment climate affiliated to the Governor of Novgorod Region is a coordination body that was formed in order to organize interaction between executive bodies of Novgorod Region, investment entities, public and other organizations of the region. Such interaction aims to ensure favorable investment climate in Novgorod Region, to reduce administrative barriers, to implement investment projects, to encourage competition and to improve conditions for the economic entities to carry out their entrepreneurial operations.
