A Meeting with the Representatives of Shizuoka Prefecture

On August 3 the director of Novgorod region development agency Alexander Dementiev took part in the online meeting with the representatives of the government of Novgorod region and their colleagues from Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. The meeting was held in the center “My business”.

The meeting was held by the first deputy governor Veronica Minina. She told that the situation with the coronavirus pandemic is unpredictable, but Novgorod region is ready to look for points of interaction in any mode. During the meeting the participants discussed the project of memorandum on bilateral cooperation between Shizuoka prefecture and Novgorod region. It is planned to consolidate joint work in scientific, economic and cultural spheres by the document.

Besides the governor of Shizuoka prefecture Heita Kawakatsu sent the invitation to Andrey Nikitin to visit the opening of the Year of friendship between Japan and Russia, where the memorandum will be signed.
