Governor Andrey Nikitin and CEO of Berdex Nadezhda Fedorova signed the agreement on June 2. The company is intending to produce innovative and epizootically safe trailers and trucks for farm animals, poultry and bulk products.
Berdex Ltd is a unique company producing technics for agriculture and farm animals’ logistics. The company was grounded in the Netherlands in 1945. Today the group of companies Berdex is a leading manufacturer of technics for transporting live animals in the Netherlands.
In 2017 the group of companies opened a production site in Russia, in Veliky Novgorod. Since that the investments into the Novgorod site of Berdex Ltd have been over 2 million euro.
The project will be implemented within special economic zone “Novgorodskaya” in Trubichino rural settlement. About 1,4 million euro will be invested. It is planned that the project will be implemented in 2023 – 2030. When reaching total production capacity, it is planned that annual turnover of the company will be over 5,7 million euro. 80 new jobs will be created by 2030.
“The company is developing actively and our main advantage is our innovative technologies which we use for producing trailers. We produce trailers for the biggest agricultural holdings in the country. Possibility to enter the special economic zone will let us increase production capacity from 72 pieces of equipment to 200. Our trailers are biologically safe considering, e.g. African swine fever”, - told Nadezhda Fedorova.
Berdex is planning to supply technics produced in Novgorod region to their main sales markets – Russian biggest agricultural holdings: Miratorg, Rusagro, AgroEco as well as to the markets of the EU, CIS, Asia and Northern America.
The new production will increase the budgets of Novgorod region and Novgorodsky municipal district by over 7 million euro.
In 2019 Berdex won RusPrix Award in the nomination “The best investment project in the real economic sector in the field of SME”.
