Companies of Novgorod region exported products worth 744,4 million USD during the 1st five months of 2021. It is 48,3% more than during the same period of the last year. It was announced by Russian minister of economic development Maxim Reshetnikov during his visit to Novgorod region.
-Ministry of economic development and regional export center will continue the companies to enter new markets, - told the minister.
Increase of number of exporters from among SMEs is due to Novgorod center of export support. In 2020 more than 230 entrepreneurs got help, 34 companies signed export contracts.
-Our support to exporters is getting comprehensive. We offer entrepreneurs so-called “box solutions” made for typical situations in business. The center provides 9 types of comprehensive services, each of them includes 6 – 13 directions. The set of such services will be determined by the center with each entrepreneur individually. Thus the help will get more efficient, - commented director of Novgorod export support center Tatyana Lavrentieva.
26 regional SMEs have already signed export contracts this year. Ekaterina Voronkova, the only manufacturer of edible hot drink waffle cups in the region, is one of them.
-Export support center placed my products on Alibaba marketplace, thus I found partners in Germany and Saudi Arabia. Trial lots have gone to these countries so far, but hope for large contracts, - said Ekaterina Voronkova.
According to the results of the All-Russian rating of export support centers for 2020, Novgorod export support center is the 17th in Russia and the 4th in the Northwestern Federal District after Leningrad region, Kaliningrad region and Saint-Petersburg.
-Joint work of Ministry of economic development of Russia has a positive effect on the results of work of Export support centers, we see positive dynamics from year to year, - told director of regional project of JSC “Russian export center” Natalya Minaeva.
Successful work of export center is one of the conditions of implementing Regional export standard 2.0. The document made by Russian export center within national project includes 15 instruments. Implementing the Standard will let create favorable climate for foreign economic activity in the regions and increase the number of exporters and volumes of supplies abroad.
Novgorod region is one of the pilot regions for implementing Regional export standard in 2021. Today 70% of the standard is implemented.
-We are in the middle of the way to implement the Regional export standard. We have much to do this year and the next year. Regional export standard gives guidelines. We understood that our exporters need knowledge. Considering wishes of our entrepreneurs we made the list of professional development programs. Our ministry will partly compensate the cost of the education, - said minister of investment policy of Novgorod region Denis Nosachev, - after talking to the entrepreneurs we got the idea of exporters club. It’ll be the site of open communication with officials, representatives of the departments, including federal ones, and with each other. Within marketing support our ministry and tourist office "Novgorod Rus“ will continue to take applications from the entrepreneurs for using “Novgorod Rus” brand. This brand shows where the goods were made, guarantees its quality and helps recognition of Novgorod goods abroad. Format of using the brand related branded souvenir products is determined with entrepreneurs individually.
