On August 5 an online meeting concerning planning Russia-Japan Business Dialogue was held in the center “My business”.
The director of Novgorod region development agency Alexander Dementiev, the head of a department of the Agency Anastasia Galinova, representatives of ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation, JSC “SME Corporation”, Japan external trade organization (JETRO) in Tokyo and Moscow, ministry of economy, trade and industry of Japan took part in the meeting.
It is planned that event will be held 14 – 18 September either online or offline depending on the world situation with the coronavirus pandemic. The main topic of the dialogue will be “Development of SMEs after COVID-19”. The event will be divided into two parts: a government one and a business one. During the 1st part it is planned to make the presentation of the region and to listen to the presentations of Russian and Japanese companies on their experience of conducting business on Russian and Japanese markets respectively. B2b meetings will be held during the 2nd part.
Novgorod region was not chosen for hosting Russia-Japan Business Dialogue by chance. In the beginning of 2020, the region was visited by the representatives of ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation, and it was decided that the region can be interesting for the Japanese side.
