Novgorod region took the 11th place in the national investment climate rating in the entities that the Agency for Strategic Initiatives is preparing. This became known today, July 9, during a meeting of the ASI supervisory board with the participation of the President Vladimir Putin.
Over the year, our region has risen by three points compared to last year. In 2019, Novgorod region took the 14th place, going up 15 positions.
Minister of investment policy of Novgorod region Denis Nosachev explains the positive dynamics by the work carried out over the year. So, the Council on improving the investment climate under the governor has replenished with new members from business. Almost 80% of its members are entrepreneurs, whose opinions are listened to by top officials in the region.
Only with the permission of the governor unscheduled business inspections in the region can be conducted.
In Novgorod region there is one of the most flexible investor support systems in the country: the amount of tax benefits depends on the population of the area in which the investment project is being implemented.
Business support infrastructure is also developing. Today 2 technoparks, 2 business incubators, a private industrial park “Transfiguration”, 2 territories of social-economic development “Uglovka” and “Borovichi” are functioning.
Additionally, the top three ranking leaders are Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan and Tula region.
