The issues of business support in the regions and promotion of Russian product in the outer markets were in the focus of attention.
On August 21, 2018, the 15thfield session of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum “Regions of Russia: new growth points” was held in Pskov. Representatives of NovgorodRegion participated in the event. Our delegation included deputy Chair of the regional Government Evgeny Bogdanov, deputy director of the Agency for Development of NovgorodRegion Nadezhda Glazkova, director of Novgorod Center for Export Support Tatyana Lavrentyeva, and chair of the regional office of Russian National Public Organization “Support of Russia” Andrey Goloshchanov.
The plenary meeting was devoted to business support measures in the constituent entities of the country. Experts voiced opinions regarding the ways of attracting investments into the real economy and encouraging formation of new enterprises.
After it, the forum program included sessions on the issues of cluster initiatives affecting economy and Russian export support. Representatives of the Russian Export Center presented an integrated approach to the service rendering to the exporters. Participants discussed the educational, information and analytical, consultative, financial and other types of support of the exporters at every stage of the international economic operations.
As they were summarizing their participation in the sessions, the members of Novgorod delegation emphasized the event’s importance. It became an excellent platform for communication with the colleagues from other regions and federal development institutions.
The forum ended in a stately manner. Two residents of special economic zone “Moglino” who had completed designing the factories laid the foundation stones in their sites. Yet another company received a symbolic key to the leased plant.
It should be reminded here that an application is currently being prepared for a special economic zone of an industrial production type comprising land plots with an aggregate area of over 545 ha to be formed in Veliky Novgorod, in Novgorod and Chudovo districts.
