One can buy a 19th century estate in Chudovo district

The priority regional project “Cultural heritage into the right hands” is being implemented in Novgorod region. Today it unites twelve buildings of historical value. They can be bought at a tender, in certain cases just for 1 ruble (plus the land plot for its market value) provided that the building will be restored and its appropriate appearance will be maintained.

So, the other day, a house of a 19th-century  estate was put up for sale in the village of Obluchye, Chudovo district. It used to belong to the nobles Artsybashev and Konovalov.

The estate is located on the right bank of the river Pchevzha. The park in the estate was built at the beginning of the 19th century. Lime-trees, larches, fur-trees, birches, pine-trees, poplars and oaks grow there even today. In the Soviet times pioneer camp “Chaika” was located in the estate.
Former estate of Semenets-Galsky in the village of Hmelevo in Parfinsky district is also well preserved.  Its history began in the 19th century, too.  Once it impressed with its luxury. A marble stair led from the Lovat river to a two-story stone mansion. There was a park around the house, a stone stable was located nearby. After the October revolution in 1918 the estate was nationalized and orphanage-colony was placed in it.

Historical events left their mark on the fate of the estate of Vonlyarlyarsky in Okulovka district. In the 18th – the beginning of the 19th century it belonged to the old noble family of the Musins-Pushkins, more precisely to Fedor Musin-Pushkin who at that time was the leader of the nobility in Krestsy. After his death the estate passed over to his daughter who was married to major general Mikhail Vonlyarlyarsky. The estate consisted of an ensemble of buildings. All of them were trimmed with wooden planks outside, which were painted according to the tastes of different owners. Before the revolution in 1917 the main house was white and its details were pink.

It was noted in the department that sale of cultural heritage objects and subsequent bringing them to the appropriate condition helps to attract tourists. Besides, bringing them back to life can become an excellent business-project with creating workplaces, providing services to the population, tax deductions.

The detailed information about the objects for sale within the project “Cultural heritage into the right hands” can be found at https://econom.novreg.ru/usad-ba-za-rubl-0.html.
