It was announced on November 15 at the Council for improving investment climate under the governor of Novgorod region.
The investor is CEO of PskovOtelInvest Petr Zakharov told that the hotel will appear 40 km from Veliky Novgorod. It is a bit more than 200 km to Saint-Petersburg and 530 km to Moscow.
It’ll be the 1st 5-star hotel in the region. It’ll have 22 rooms, 5 of which are luxe. Это будет первый в регионе пятизвездочный отель с 22 номерами, 5 of which are suites. We will also build 20 cottages, 2 restaurants, a panorama café, two conference-halls, a rope park. There’ll be a stable and a spa-complex, - described Petr Zakharov the future hotel.
About 8,2 million USD will be invested, half of which is own money. About 45 people will work at the hotel. Zakharov noted that he is ready to employ Novgorod students in case they have the needed skills. E.g., it is important to speak English.
It is supposed that the 1st of three steps of construction will be over by next year summer. By that time the hotel will be ready to welcome the 1st guests. The investor expects that people both from Novgorod and neighbor regions and foreigners will be among them.
The resort in Staraya Russa is also expanding. According to CEO of JSC “Staraya Russa Resort” Antonina Repnikova, the new 4-star building of the sanatorium will be built by 2025. It’ll be a 9-storey building with 317 rooms for more than 630 guests. Over 13,7 million USD will be invested and 50 jobs will appear. Antonina Repnikova stressed that the new building will let increase the number of guests in Staraya Russa and in the region in general. She said that the sanatorium is ready to cooperate with educational institutions of the region in terms of training staff in the field of hospitality and medicine.
