The news has been laid out during the meeting of the investment strategy improvement Council led by The Governor of the Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin. The projects will be implemented in Velikiy Novgorod and in Borovichi/
The Russian company “Russian sea- Aquaculture “intends to build a factory manufacturing salmon feed. It will be located within the city limits. More than 2 billion rubles will be invested into the facility and 50 workplaces will be created.
The construction phase is set to begin in the February of 2023.
The Borovichi machine-building plant is planning to implement its industrial manipulators production in 2022-2029. The company intends to direct 80 % of what is produced towards the domestic market. The investments volume will amount to over 23 million rubles and 55 workplaces will be created.
The Governor Andrey Nikitin has also noted that the issue of import substitution in various areas is now a top priority. And our region has a great potential to increase the manufacturing of products that are currently in high demand.
“The regional industrial development fund along with The small business support fund – are the main sources of assistance. Now we are additionally providing 300 million rubles in microloans. We are doing all we can in order to ensure that our businesses and companies are capable of adapting to new demands”, - the governor added.
The Governor also proposed that the head of The Novgorod small business assistance fund, Gregory Stepanov would analyze the possibility of granting concessional loans to those businesses that apply.
“I am asking that you carefully study the topic and if within a month you would see that more resources are needed, please make your proposal. I would like to emphasize that we will provide whatever finances are required by our regional companies. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of our facilities”, - The Governor concluded.
