Works on Special Economic Zone in Novgorod Region Are Going
Director of Novgorod region development agency Alexander Dementiev and his deputy Victor Bykov met representatives of special economic zone of industrial-production type “Alabuga” (Tatarstan) on February 4. “Alabuga” is the largest special economic zone in Russia. Head of Novgorod district Oleg Shakhov and representatives of Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Novgorod Vodokanal”, together with the other participants of the meeting, discussed conditions for connecting sites of future SEZ in Novgorod region to water supply, gasification and power supply networks.
Meeting with NTC “Module” took place on the same day. During this meeting the company’s management confirmed their intentions to implement a project on one of the sites of the future SEZ and to become its resident.
Recall that on October 6 governor Andrey Nikitin and CEO of special economic zone “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev signed an agreement on cooperation. The aim is to create and develop a special economic zone in Novgorod region.
We add that the special economic zone will work as part of implementing the priority regional project “Formation and development of modern infrastructure in Novgorod region for investment and business entities in 2021”, aimed at increasing investment activity and supporting SMEs.
