This was stated by the head of the municipality Andrey Gerasimov at an off-site meeting of the government of the Novgorod region. According to him, there are 10 companies in the register of residents of the territory of advanced development "Borovichi". This year, another enterprise producing cable products plans to receive this status, which will create more than 100 new jobs.
The implementation of an investment project worth 850 million roubles is being completed by the Borovichi Cardboard and Paper Factory. This year, the management of the enterprise plans to equip the entrance to its investment site, allocating 30 million roubles for this purpose. Since the beginning of the year, the number of self-employed people in the region has doubled.
The projects of Borovichi agricultural producers are successfully developing. By the end of the year, the Agro-Volok farm plans to build a farm for one hundred heads of cattle. Farmer Natalia Kovitsina is also engaged in the same area - this year she became the winner of the Agrostartup competition and received a grant in the amount of one million roubles for the development of her business.
Active work is being done to popularise the tourism potential of the Borovichi region. As part of the concept of "Borovichi - a city of meetings", the district entered into an agreement on cultural cooperation with the St. Petersburg A.L. Stieglitz Art and Industry Academy. In the summer, the Vakhter estate will host the Novgorod Land exhibition. The basis of the exposition will be the works of students of the academy, made in the framework of the plein air, held in Borovichi and Veliky Novgorod.
Tourist accommodation is another important issue. As Andrey Gerasimov noted, entrepreneurs are implementing projects for the construction and reconstruction of hotels and recreation centres in the city and rural areas. Thus, the Borovichi Refractory Plant continues to work at the recreation centre "Piros". The re-equipment of the mini-hotel "Metallurg" has begun. A new recreation centre “Khutor Egovik” was opened in Konchansko-Suvorovsky rural settlement. The construction of the hostel "Builder's House" in Borovichi has begun. The head of the district said that by 2025 the St. Petersburg investor also plans to reconstruct the building of the former hotel “Msta”.
