A meeting of the Novgorod Special Economic Zone Supervisory Council was held within the framework of the Investment Council under the Governor of the Novgorod Region. Its members focused on the investment project related to construction of the Pletnikha Production and Logistics Complex in Ermolinskoe settlement on a land plot belonging to the Novgorod SEZ.
According to General Director of Pletnikha LLC Aleksandr Milyutin, the complex will include warehouses, a motor vehicle workshop, furniture and PET container making shops, as well as fish processing and frozen food production facilities.
The investor is planning to implement the project in nine years: obtain a SEZ resident status this May, start the first phase of construction in the spring of 2026 and the second phase of construction in the autumn of 2027, to complete all the work by December 2031. The volume of investment in the project will constitute 4.5 billion roubles. The number of available jobs will be increasing in the course of construction.
“Upon achieving full capacity, we will engage 3 thousand people. These will mainly be employees with vocational education, such as drivers, order pickers, stock managers, packers, mechanics, schedulers, and so on. There will definitely be supervisors, production process engineers, programmers to maintain fully operational status of the works 24/7. The complex will be performing a complete scope of work related to acceptance, ordering, storage, processing and routing of cargoes,” Aleksandr Milyutin explained.
The project was supported by head of the Region Andrey Nikitin who ordered the relevant agencies to assess the readiness of transport infrastructure for implementation of investor’s plans.
Also, General Director of Novgorodskaya SEZ Artur Ayupov told the Supervisory Council meeting participants about the progress of the SEZ infrastructure construction. According to him, the work is being performed on schedule: thermal envelope of the production building has been closed and steel structure installation has been completed. By end of April it is planned to complete the interior utility lines, and completion of the internal and external water intake and supply lines is scheduled for May. Floor pouring will also start in May. In September the first residents will be able to bring in the equipment and commence the commissioning work.
We remind that the Novgorod SEZ functions within the framework of the “Formation and Development of Modern Infrastructure in the Novgorod Region for Entities Involved in Investment and Business Activities” priority regional project. It is aimed at the increase of investment activity and support of small and medium business.
