On October 7, at the poultry complex OOO "Belgrankorm – Veliky Novgorod" the production of fertilizer from biocompost was opened. The line installed at the enterprise is the first in Russia, created on the basis of Japanese technologies. The investment project worth over 4,7 million USD was implemented within the framework of the agreement of intent between the government of Novgorod region, LLC "Belgrancorm – Veliky Novgorod" and the Japanese company “RJYSHINGINEERINGoLTD” (Koshin Engineering Co.). It was concluded in May 2018 at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"It is valuable that the first such project in Russia was implemented in Novgorod region. There were wishes of inhabitants to improve an ecological situation in this area and I am very grateful to shareholders of the company ("Belgrankorm") that our region was chosen as pilot ", – told Andrey Nikitin, the Governor of Novgorod region, commenting on production opening.
In the production, biocompost is processed into freeze-dried granules. When the line reaches full capacity, it will produce from 12 to 20 thousand tons of biological fertilizers per year. It is planned to create 10 workplaces in the production. According to Alexander Orlov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the agricultural holding "BEZRK –Belgrancorm", the use of fertilizer from biocompost has proven itself in Belgorod region, where the company has been working for over 20 years. The yield of cereals and other crops when applying such top dressing to the soil increased by 30-40 %, which is higher than when using other types of fertilizers.
"In Novgorod region we have a large complex, but we use less land (for growing crops) than in Belgorod region. 50 percent of fertilizers will be exported. Today the first truck has already arrived – we will take it to Belgorod. Also, within two to three months, we will find companies that will be engaged in retail and wholesale of manufactured fertilizer. Novgorodians and residents of other regions will be able to buy it for their farms, " said Alexander Orlov.
"Our company operates in 33 countries and has for 25 years delivered the technology (biocompost processing) to the world markets. What we have seen today at the enterprise "Belgrancorm", admired us. The production process is proceeding normally, " said Kazunori Sumiya, Executive Director of Japan's Koshin Engineering Co.
The enterprise LLC “Belgrankorm – Veliky Novgorod” has worked on the territory of Novgorod region for 12 years. The main activities are poultry meat production, dairy farming and crop production. The company is part of the largest agricultural holding "BEZRK –Belgrankorm".
In 2018, LLC “Belgrankorm –Veliky Novgorod” opened a modern dairy complex with 400 heads of dairy herds in Krestetsky district. Investments in the construction of the complex exceeded 5,5 million USD. The project was implemented in the framework of the cooperation agreement signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June 2017.
