Representatives of the economic and financial blocs of Khakassian Republic government came to the Novgorod Region on a working visit. The delegation was headed by Yulia Ismagilova, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Khakassia, Deputy Head of the Republic — Chairperson of the Republic’s Government.
The guests have visited the site of the Novgorod Special Economic Zone and met with one of its residents, Novgorod Electric Systems LLC. The discussion of particular matters related to creation of a SEZ was continued at the Region’s government offices with participation of the Novgorod Region’s Deputy Governor Evgeny Bogdanov, the Region’s Minister of Investment Policy Denis Nosachev and First Deputy Minister of Finance Elena Silina, as well as General Director of Novgorodskaya IP SEZ JSC Artur Ayupov.
“We are impressed with the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan and the fast pace with which the Novgorod Region has achieved such impressive results in the development of its own Special Economic Zone. Your experience is useful for us in the creation of a SEZ in Khakassia,” Yulia Ismagilova said.
The Novgorod Region was the first constituent entity in the country creating a SEZ to contact the specialists in Tatarstan and adopt their best practices. Khakassia is planning to follow the same track.
“The Novgorod Region Government and managing company of our Special Economic Zone on their part will be happy to lend all-round support to the Khakassian colleagues in the creation of a SEZ on the territory of their Republic. We are moving at a good pace. Specific types of work connected with creation of the Novgorod SEZ are being performed ahead of schedule,” Evgeny Bogdanov pointed out.
It is worth mentioning that the Novgorod SEZ was established on 08 July 2021. It is located on the territory of Novgorodsky District close to Veliky Novgorod and M-10 federal motorway. The total area of SEZ is 184.5 ha. Prefabrika Severo-Zapad LLC and Novgorod Electric Systems LLC have become the first residents of the Novgorod SEZ. Plants manufacturing prefabricated houses as well as complete switchgear and transformer substations will be built by investors at the SEZ. In the nearest future Marshall FT LLC with the car filters manufacturing project, TK Doksal LLC with manufacture of pressed aluminium alloy profiles and Technograd Nord LLC, the manufacturer of professional thermal equipment, expect to be added to the list of residents. The total amount of investments to be made by the SEZ residents will exceed 11 billion roubles by 2027, with more than 1,150 jobs created within the same period.
The Novgorod SEZ functions within the framework of the “Formation and Development of Modern Infrastructure in the Novgorod Region for Entities Involved in Investment and Business Activities” priority regional project. It is aimed at the increase of investment activity and support of small and medium business.
