New Gas Line Pipe Manufacturing Lines Started Operating in Borovichi

The official ceremony of launching the new production lines at the industrial enterprise in Borovichi held on 31 January was attended by the Novgorod Region Governor Andrey Nikitin and Deputy General Director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz for Work with Government Authorities and Regions Oleg Lyapustin.

The plant’s products will be in high demand during building of gas pipelines in the Novgorod Region and other regions of Russia. The pipes are made of domestic polyethylene feedstock. The production volume increase was triggered, in particular, by expansion of the additional gas distribution network development program, which now includes educational and healthcare facilities.

The enterprise has succeeded in launching the manufacture of extended length pipes, 18 meters instead of 13.

The first pipes manufactured by the new lines will be used in construction of gas pipeline from Borovichi gas distribution station to populated locations in Borovichsky and Moshenskoy districts to be supplied with gas within the framework of the Gas Supply and Gasification Program for the Novgorod Region in the years 2021–2025.

The total of three lines are currently operating at the plant located in the Borovichi Priority Social and Economic Development Area. The first one was opened last March. Maximum production capacity achieved by the enterprise is two tons of processed feedstock per hour, over a thousand tons of finished products per month and around 1.2 thousand kilometres of pipes per year.

It is worth mentioning that the Borovichi PSEDA functions within the framework of the “Formation and Development of Modern Infrastructure in the Novgorod Region for Entities Involved in Investment and Business Activities” regional project.
