It was agreed today, August 15, at the working meeting in Veliky Novgorod, between Olga Slov, the Consul General of Israel in St. Petersburg, and Veronika Minina, the first deputy Governor of NovgorodRegion.

Olga Slov told that Israel Independence Day had been widely celebrated in Veliky Novgorod last year. In addition, the region was visited by a delegation of Israeli doctors who conducted seminars and master classes on the grounds of Novgorod State University, in the regional children’s hospital, and in the perinatal center.

“We are planning to continue cooperation in this sphere. We would also like to hold cultural events in Veliky Novgorod and bring Israeli exhibitions and films here,” the Consul emphasized.

Veronika Minina pointed out that the region is interested in the interaction in these spheres. She told Olga Slov that Veliky Novgorod is frequently employed as a filming location for historical movies and about upcoming cultural events of importance in the region.

During her visit to Veliky Novgorod, the General Consul had meetings with the chief physician of the regional children’s clinical hospital Arsen Amirbekov, chief physician of the regional clinical maternity hospital Valery Misherurin, and the first vice-principal of Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University Almaz Sulaymanov. Lines of cooperation in perinatal medicine and gerontology were discussed.
