Priority Social Economic Development Areas In Novgorod Region Get New Residents

Ministry of investment policy of Novgorod region informs that on April, 29 during the meeting of Council for improvement of investment climate talked about development of PSEDA.
Let’s remind that in our region two monocities have this status – Uglovka and Borovichi. Minister of investment policy of Novgorod region Denis Nosachev told that on the territory of the PSEDA “Uglovka” it is planned to implement 8 investment projects with total volume of investments 73,2 million USD, 600 new workplaces will appear. In December, 2018 LLC “Valday cosmetics” with the investment project of modernization of perfumery and cosmetics factory was included into the list of PSEDA residents. In April, 2019 LLC “SIL-Plast” with the investment project “Organizing of manufacturing plastic containers” became the second resident. Denis Nosachev noted that according to the information of administration of Okulovsky district another three companies are planning to apply for status of PSEDA “Uglovka” in 2019.
On the territory of the monocity Borovichi, in its turn, it is planned to implement 16 investment projects with total volume of investments 50,8 million USD. Over 1 050 workplaces will be created. Agreements about intentions to implement 6 investment projects have been signed.
The head of the ministry is convinced that priority social economic development areas is the tool of intensification of investment activity. The investors have begun to pay more interest to Novgorod region and to the benefits which the residenсe gives. During first five years of work in PSEDA the company’s property is not taxed. During second 5 years the tax will be 1,1%. The rate of federal part of profit tax is 3%, but PSEDA resident is exempted from this tax for 5 years after getting first profit. Regional profit tax is: standard rate – 17%, preferential treatment – 5% during first 5 years and 10% of the second 5 years.
Also PSEDA resident during 10 years of work pays contributions to extrabudgetary funds on considerably lower rates in comparison with the companies which are not PSEDA residents: 7,6% versus 30%.
