The region is implementing an investment project to create an innovative educational environment — a world class student campus — in Veliky Novgorod. Teams from Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University, Novgorod SEZ and the economic block of the regional government worked on the application.
The area of the planned campus is 75.03 thousand square metres. The total cost of the facility will be 10 billion rubles, including 6 billion rubles in funds from the federal budget. The campus will be located on B. St. Petersburgskaya Street, next to the main university building.
The project involves the creation of an integrated Education Science Technology Industry ecosystem. Participants will include teachers and scientists from Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University, current engineers, as well as representatives of major technology and industrial companies from the Valdai Science and Technology Centre and Novgorod SEZ.
Construction of the campus is planned to start in 2024–2025.
