Meeting with the representatives of one of the biggest special economic zones of the Russian Federation JSC “OEZ PPT “Alabuga” (Tatarstan) took place on January, 21st in the center “My business”. Within the working meeting the colleagues from Tatarstan made a number of constructive proposals on creating a SEZ in Novgorod region. Let us notice that this meeting is a return visit after the representatives of the government of Novgorod region visited OEZ “Alabuga” in summer 2019 in the purpose of getting experience in creating special economic zones.
The meeting was held by deputy chairman of the government of Novgorod region Evgeny Bogdanov, minister of investment policy Denis Nosachev and director of Novgorod region development agency Alexander Dementiev and his deputy Victor Bykov also took part in the meeting.
The colleagues from Tatarstan surveyed the land plots. Considering their experience in creating such an infrastructure, deputy CEO for state programs of JSC “OEZ PPT “Alabuga” Artur Ayupov made a number of proposals.
It was planned to sign an agreement on cooperation between the government of Novgorod region and JSC “OEZ PPT “Alabuga” during Russian investment forum which should have taken place in Sochi from February, 12 till February, 14.
Special economic zone in Novgorod region is planned on nine land plots of total area 395 hectares located in the city district of Veliky Novgorod, Novgorod municipal district and Chudovo municipal district of Novgorod region.
Let us remind that rates of profit tax, property tax and transport tax are reduced in special economic zone. The investors are given engineering and production infrastructure, administrative support as one-stop shop, warranties of security of the investments. There is free customs zone in SEZ.
