The City of Borovichi Became a Priority Social Economic Development Area

It is the second PSEDA in Novgorod region. Let us remind that in Okulovsky district there is the priority social economic development area “Uglovka”.  
On the 12th of April Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed the Government decree about creating a PSEDA according to the federal law “About priority social economic development areas in the Russian Federation”. Within the borders of these areas there is a special legal regime of business activity. Creating of the PSEDA “Borovichi” will contribute to diversification of the city’s economy, increasing its investment attractiveness, decreasing dependence on the city-forming enterprise, creating new workplaces.
Earlier six frame agreement were signed between the Government of Novgorod region and investors about implementing six investment projects.
The main resident of the PSEDA “Borovichi” is the industrial park of the company “Vilina”. There are three main projects being implemented in the park: producing floor coverings, PVC films for furniture industry, oilcloth for canteen. Three companies from China are also planning to work on the territory of Borovichi.
The Chinese company “Shanghai East Best Foreign Trade Co., Ltd” is planning to implement the investment project “Manufacturing reinforcing nets” with the volume of capital investments 13,2 million USD and capacity in physical terms 3 660 thousand cubic meters per year.
Another Chinese investor is the company “Guangzhou Yuanjun Plastic Products Co., Ltd” is planning to implement the investment project “Manufacturing of oilcloth for canteen” with the volume of capital investments 13,2 million USD.
The third Chinese company “Shaoxing Keqiao Anemoon Trade Co., Ltd” is planning to implement the investment project to manufacture decorative furniture textile by sublimation print method. The volume of capital investments is 2,3 million USD.
Creating a PSEDA in monocity will let create by 2028 over 1000 permanent workplaces and attract over 50 million USD of investments.
