State support is provided to Novgorod businessmen mostly affected by COVID-19 pandemic. The enterprises can benefit both of federal and regional measures of support.
Antonina Ivanova, director of foreign languages school “Leo school”, took advantage of such measures. Antonina opened a licensed franchise school 2 years ago. Two branches, about 200 students and stable staff of professionals have appeared in Veliky Novgorod within these years.
“When the situation with spread of coronavirus began and the activity of additional education institutions was stopped, my first thought was about keeping my employees, not firing anyone, - tells Antonina Ivanova, - we quickly reoriented ourselves and went into online space. All the employees were trained distance teaching and we managed to keep 90% of the students. When I found out that the state helps businessmen, I immediately, at the beginning of May, applied for subsidies for salary to my employees via Federal Tax Service and took advantage of 2% loan in Sberbank. All the payments have already arrived.”
That’s true: subsidies for salary to the employees of 12 130 rubles can be received by any employer who kept 90% of the personnel. Documents can be either submitted online on the homepage of the tax inspection or printed out and sent via a post office, as Antonina did. In both cases the payments arrive within a week.
All the enterprises of the affected industries, as well as socially oriented non-profit organizations except for sole proprietors who don’t have any employees, can take benefit of the program of subsidized loan at the rate of 2% in the banks. The volume of the loan is calculated according to the formula 1 minimum wage per an employee per month multiplied by 6 months. If a businessman during the whole duration of the loan program keeps his staff at the level of 90% and more, the loan itself and the interest will be completely debited after the loan expiration. If the employment is kept at the level no lower than 80% of personnel, half of the loan and interest is debited.
The state will bear these costs. The funds can be used for any purposes at a businessman discretion.
Just before the high alert was started, Antonina Ivanova expanded the area of her school and rented a new, bigger room. “But we were lucky here as well to have our lessor, - continues Antonina to tell, - we were given 100% delay for paying rent for April and 50% for May. Subsidized loan also helps with current costs. We will see how the situation will develop, but I’m sure that we’ll manage to get offline without considerable losses and continue working.”
