Three residents will move from St. Petersburg to the Novgorod SEZ at once

Evgeny Bogdanov, First Deputy Governor of the Novgorod Region, held a meeting of the Expert Council of the Novgorod Special Economic Zone. Its members considered applications for residence in the SEZ of three companies that are currently operating in St. Petersburg: Marshal FT LLC, New Pipes JSC, Industrial Equipment Plant LLC. Each of the business projects was presented by Artur Ayupov, Director General of the Novgorod SEZ.

Thus, the Marshal FT enterprise specialises in the sale of auto filters. Today, every fifth truck in Russia uses the autofilter of this company. The investor wants to place production in the Novgorod SEZ and is ready to invest about 300 million roubles in it and create 64 jobs.

“The company stands firmly on its feet. After the launch, the second stage plans to build 5,000 square metres. The project looks very promising.” said Artur Ayupov.

JSC "New Pipes" produces polyethylene pipes, which are widely used in housing and communal services. Due to their considerable length, 12.5 metres, it is problematic to transport them over distances of more than 500 km. And the proximity of the Novgorod SEZ to the main partners in the Moscow and Leningrad regions eliminates the difficulties with transportation.

The volume of investments under the project will amount to 300 million roubles, it is planned to employ 86 people. At the meeting, it was said that the investor would bring his long-term partner, a manufacturer of polymer raw materials, to the SEZ. Thus, a polymer cluster will appear in the Novgorod SEZ.

Industrial Equipment Plant LLC is the largest wholesale and retail seller of electrical equipment. The company has been on the market for 20 years, it has 20 branches throughout the country. In the Novgorod region, the enterprise will produce heat guns. At the first stage, 152 million roubles of investments and the creation of 43 jobs are envisaged. For all three stages of the project, investments will increase to 300 million roubles. And the investor does not exclude that in the future he will take an additional space.

All three projects were unanimously supported by the members of the Expert Council. This will allow the Ministry of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region to send documents to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia for registration of residence. After obtaining the appropriate certificates, the Novgorod SEZ will have 5 residents. The first two, Prefabrika Severo-Zapad LLC and Novgorod Electrical Systems LLC, will build plants for the production of house kits and complete switchgear and transformer substations, respectively.

The Novgorod SEZ operates within the framework of the priority regional project "Formation and development in the Novgorod region of modern infrastructure for investment and business entities." It is aimed at increasing investment activity and supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
