Transvit Technology Park in Veliky Novgorod Welcomes New Residents

Transvit Technology Park in Veliky Novgorod received three new residents at once. They all are private entrepreneurs, but of different profiles: manufacture of automotive components and accessories, tailoring, growing of microgreens. The latter is what Maksim Anischenko is engaged in. According to him, the Technology Park attracted the residents, inter alia, by its competitive lease rate.

“We have already moved to the Transvit site, installed and started up the equipment. An even greater influx of tourists is forecast for this year, therefore we closely cooperate with cafes and restaurants of Novgorod. The share of Veliky Novgorod in our product sales constitutes 95–99%. There also are orders from the region and from Saint Petersburg,” Maksim Anischenko said.

At present Transvit Technology Park has 21 residents. They are fully exempt from property tax for 5 years. During the same period, they are allowed to pay 13.5% income tax to the regional budget instead of 17%. In addition, technology park residents working with the simplified taxation system and choosing income as the object of taxation receive a two percent rate instead of six percent. According to the regional legislation, these incentives for technology park residents are also valid for 5 years.

By the end of 2024 the business of Novgorod will have even more opportunities for development, as the creation of Transvit industrial technology park will be completed. Construction and installation works are already being performed.

“Creation of a federal level industrial technology park is a large-scale initiative within the framework of the “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship” National Project. It will help in solving one of the city’s problems: lack of modern facilities for small-size high tech companies. The construction for the most part is performed on account of Federal financing and the investor’s funds. The project envisages the expansion of the existing regional technology park facilities. More than 6 thousand square meters of additional facilities for residents, for the engineering centre, congress and exhibition hall, will be built before the end of 2024,” Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region Denis Nosachev commented.

It is worth mentioning that the technology parks and business incubators function within the framework of the “Formation and Development of Modern Infrastructure in the Novgorod Region for Entities Involved in Investment and Business Activities” priority regional project. It is aimed at the increase of investment activity and support of small and medium business.
