Woodworking Company Becomes New Resident in Transvit Technology Park

Drevodel OOO is registered as a resident of the Transvit Technology Park. The company manufactures solid wood products, such as furniture, kitchenware, interior fittings and more.

“This is a new direction for us. Now we are just starting production and are beginning to make products in wood. In parallel, we are working on building up a portfolio, developing a website and social media groups. Initially, we liked the site, the premises at Transvite. Then we found out that we could also apply for residency in a technology park. Of course, we took advantage of this opportunity, as the residency conditions, taking into account the reduced tax rate, are very attractive,” said Ivan Smirnov, CEO of Drevodel.

Transvit Technology Park is currently home to 18 residents, 9 of whom obtained this status in 2022.

As a reminder, technology park residents are fully exempt from property tax for 5 years. The income tax to the regional budget is 13.5% instead of 17% throughout the period. In addition, technology park residents working with the simplified taxation system and choosing income as the object of taxation receive a two per cent rate. These incentives for technology park residents are also valid for 5 years.

Technology parks in the Novgorod Region function within the framework of the “Formation and Development of Modern Infrastructure in the Novgorod Region for Entities Involved in Investment and Business Activities in 2022” priority regional project. It is aimed at the increase of investment activity and support of small and medium business.
