Business Missions to China and Iran Brought New Contracts to Novgorod Entrepreneurs

In November 2024, entrepreneurs from the Novgorod Region took part in two business missions: to China and Iran. The delegations were headed by Evgeny Bogdanov, First Deputy Governor of the Novgorod Region. The results of these business trips were presented to the media at My Business Centre on 27 November 2024. The briefing was moderated by Viktor Bykov, Director of the Novgorod Region Development Agency.

From 04 to 08 November, representatives of Marshall FT LLC, RublBrus LLC, Stashevskoe BIO LLC, Splat Global, and Yemelyanovskaya Biofabrika LLC worked in the Chinese city of Shanghai. During the trip they had meetings with the Russian Trade Representative in China Alexey Dakhnovsky, as well as with members of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Products.

Denis Letunov, General Director of Marshall FT LLC, informed that his company is interested in the nomenclature of plastic and metal parts that are not manufactured in Russia.

The delegation included representatives of 8 companies: JSC Velgiyskaya Paper Factory, Novgorodprodukt LLC, Foodmatic LLC, Borovichi Machine-Building Plant LLC, T-Arm LLC, Borovichi Mechanical Plant LLC, Malovishersky Glass Plant LLC, and NBN-Plombir LLC.

“Iran is a country that is not very familiar to us. It is a state with developed industry and science. We met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Iran Alexey Dedov, and with Acting Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Iran Andrey Blinnikov. We discussed the specifics of doing business in the country, the current state and promising areas of trade and economic cooperation. The Ambassador and the Trade Mission staff answered the questions asked by our businessmen. We also visited the university campus and technology park in Tehran. In Isfahan we had a meeting with the Russian Consul General and with Governor of Isfahan Province. Another important part of the programme was a visit to the university. It has a Department of Russian language. Our university will cooperate with the University of Isfahan. Moreover, more than 50 students from Iran are already studying at Novgorod State University. And we will also interact with Isfahan in the field of tourism,” said Evgeny Bogdanov.
