By the end of the year, 20 investment projects worth 48 billion rubles will be completed in the Novgorod region.

This was announced today, March 5, by the Governor of the Novgorod region, Alexandr Dronov, during his address.

According to the head of the region, the economy of the region is showing good dynamics: the industrial production index for last year was 109% against the national indicator of 101.3. The main factors for maintaining positive dynamics here are investment activity and increasing labor productivity in the economy.


Today, the Novgorod Region Development Agency is supporting 52 private investment projects with a total investment volume of 96.5 billion rubles. As a result of their implementation, about 5,500 jobs will be created. Among the largest projects are the construction of a plant for the production of reinforced concrete slabs for a high-speed railway line and the launch of the production of fish feed by Inarctica North-West.


"By the end of 2026, 20 investment projects with a total value of 48 billion rubles are scheduled to be completed, creating more than 2,000 new jobs. These include projects in the manufacturing sector, such as the production of electrical products in the Novgorod District, natural stone granules and powders in the Okulovsky District, and industrial burners in the Starorussky District," said Alexandr Dronov.

The Governor also said that the development of innovative infrastructure for supporting entrepreneurship continues in the region. This year, the construction of a new building for the "Transvit" industrial technology park, with an area of more than 4,000 square meters and adjacent transport and utility infrastructure for future residents, will begin. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2027. The expansion of "Transvit" is possible due to the fact that the Novgorod Region was once again selected by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia in 2025. The national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" has allocated 200 million rubles from the federal budget for this purpose. The number of residents in this technology park is expected to increase from 5 to 12 in 2026.
