Entrepreneurs from four countries get acquainted with Novgorod manufacturers

The Novgorod Export Support Center organized a visit to the region for representatives of 12 companies from Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The central event of the program of stay in Veliky Novgorod were negotiations with Novgorod business at INTZ "Intelligent Electronics - Valdai" on December 11.

"Taking into consideration the changing world and the needs, we are trying to find alternative markets for our entrepreneurs. This time, we invited businesses from four countries that we work with, but we would like to increase our supply volumes," says Elena Petrova, Deputy Director of the Novgorod Export Support Center.

Foreign entrepreneurs are interested in a wide range of Novgorod products: food, lumber, furniture and equipment for its production, furniture fittings, electrical equipment, equipment for the mining and oil and gas industries, fertilizers, and household and children's goods.
"I came here because I want to establish connections with local entrepreneurs so that their products can enter the Mongolian market. This will allow them to export to Asian countries," said Ganbold Erdenebileg, General Director of SHIGI LLC.

The export center noted the effectiveness of the negotiations at the Valdai Intelligent Electronics Research and Technology Center. Today, on December 12, the guests are visiting various enterprises and learning about their production processes.

In addition, the Novgorod Region is currently the most active exporter to Kazakhstan. According to the results of 2024, there has been a 2- to 4-fold increase in the volume of exports to Kazakhstan for certain product groups. Exports to Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and Tajikistan are more modest, but they are also growing compared to 2023.

Earlier this year, the Export Center organized a visit to the region by representatives of the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The Novgorod Export Support Center holds business events with the assistance of the regional Ministry of Investment Policy under the national projects "International Cooperation and Export" and "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
