On August 6, session of a commission was held to consider the application of BorovichiSpetsObuv LLC for residency in the Borovichi Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area. The company intends to launch the safety footwear production.
“The company will create 10 jobs and invest 6.4 million roubles within the first year after the registration in the resident register.
The planned production capacity is expected to be reached in 2026. According to all parameters, the project can be implemented in the Advanced Development Area,” said Denis Nosachev, Minister for Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region, to the members of the commission.
All members of the commission unanimously upheld the position of the Ministry of Investment Policy. Olga Rybakova, Deputy Head of the Borovichi District Administration, also noted that the BorovichiSpetsObuv LLC will occupy the production area of more than 500 square metres. The products will be sold in the Russian market.
The Regional Government, BorovichiSpetsObuv LLC and the administration of the Borovichi Urban Settlement will sign an agreement on the company’s residence in the Borovichi Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area in the near future. BorovichiSpetsObuv will become the 10th resident of the Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area.
As a reminder, there are two Advanced Socio-Economic Development Areas in the Novgorod Region – Borovichi and Uglovka. Residence in an Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area guarantees a number of privileges. For example, the company will be exempt from property tax for the first five years of operation and taxed at a rate of 1.1% for the subsequent five years. The federal income tax rate is 3%, but a resident of an Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area is exempt from this tax for five years after the first profit is made. The standard regional income tax rate is 17%, while a preferential rate amounts to 5% for the first five years and 10% for the subsequent five years.
In addition, residents of the Borovichi Advanced Socio-Economic Development Area can apply for consultations at the My Business Centre representative office in Borovichi. It is worth mentioning that the advanced development areas operate within the framework of the top-priority regional project “Creation and Development of Modern Infrastructure for Subjects of Investment and Business Activities in the Novgorod Region”. It is aimed at increasing investment activities and achieving the goals of the National Project “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise”.
