Implementation of 11 local investment projects supported by the Novgorod Region Development Agency was completed in the departing year. In total, this stands for a 6.8-billion-ruble investment and 448 jobs. Among the most interesting projects are creation of the Transvit industrial technology park in Veliky Novgorod, construction of a hotel in Okulovsky district by TRIA DEVELOPMENT LLC, and projects offered by residents of the Novgorodskaya Special Economic Zone.
“Next year it is planned to complete work on 20 investment projects. The total volume of investments on the part of the business will amount to almost 20 billion rubles. In total, the Agency’s “portfolio” includes 54 projects worth 94 billion rubles in investments,” says Viktor Bykov, Director of the Novgorod Region Development Agency.
In addition, the Agency oversees the development of investment infrastructure to support entrepreneurship in the region. This includes the Novgorodskaya Special Economic Zone, two advanced development areas, five technology parks and two business incubators. Currently there are 12 residents in the SEZ, 14 in the advanced development areas, 60 in the technology parks, and 13 in the business incubators.
In addition, the Agency participates in the region's international activities. In the departing year, 42 companies took part in 9 business missions with its assistance. The Agency also coordinates the work of My Business Centre within the framework of the “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise” National Project. Over five years, the Centre has provided more than 110 thousand services and organised over 2.2 thousand business events.
