There are plans to build a glamping resort on the shore of Lake Borovno in the Okulovsky district. On January 23, the regional government held the first meeting of the Council under the Governor of the Novgorod Region on improving the investment climate this year. The full launch of glamping is scheduled for 2029.

According to Daria Akhunova, the creation of a modern glamping resort will contribute to the development of the region's tourism industry. The investor considers the picturesque locations and proximity to the Valdai National Park to be the main advantages of the project.

According to Denis Nosachev, the Minister of Investment Policy of the region, the project has received positive feedback from the regional Ministry of Investment, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the administration of Okulovsky District. The members of the council have supported the project.

The meeting also focused on the development of the «Transvit» Industrial Technology Park. The investment project is being implemented under the national project «Efficient and Competitive Economy». At the first stage, two production buildings with a total area of more than 4,000 square meters and a block-modular boiler house were constructed and put into operation. Technological infrastructure facilities, such as an engineering center and a congress and exhibition center, were also created and equipped with modern equipment. The project was funded with 480 million rubles from the federal and regional budgets, as well as extrabudgetary funds.

Currently, the technopark hosts five residents: «N3Com» LLC (development, production, and supply of high-tech telecommunications equipment, including routers and switches); «Esi Volkhov» LLC (production of electrical equipment, including the production of converter equipment for the needs of Russian Railways); «Aktiv» LLC (production of technical rehabilitation equipment for people with disabilities); «Akvarel» LLC (development of technical rehabilitation equipment); and Ekaterina Sergeevna Burova, an individual entrepreneur (textile production).

The Novgorod Region's application was selected by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. The total cost of the second stage is 379.8 million rubles, with 200 million rubles provided from the federal budget.

The board members also heard information about the results of the investment project to restore «Staroruspribor» LLC. Over the past three years, the investor has invested more than 430 million rubles. The company has carried out a large-scale modernization of its production facilities, including engineering systems, repairs to workshops and roofs, construction of a new production facility, acquisition of equipment, and creation of new jobs. According to Roman Vlasov, the director of «Staroruspribor» LLC, the company plans to launch a new foundry, an additive technology center, and a laboratory this year.

Evgenii Bogdanov thanked Roman Vlasov for his work, noting how much the factory had changed thanks to the entrepreneur and his team.

«Roman Alexandrovich Vlasov and his team are actively engaged in the revival of one of the oldest factories in the region. This is fully in line with the interests of the region and the residents of Staraya Russa, which is why the project is receiving special attention», emphasized Evgenii Bogdanov.

The council also discussed the prospects for the development of the Novgorod Special Economic Zone and the results of the Novgorod Small Business Support Fund's work in 2025, as well as its plans for 2026. During its operation, the fund has provided loans to entrepreneurs totaling over 9 billion rubles, with more than half of the funds allocated for investment purposes. The plan is to continue supporting entrepreneurs and improve the quality of services provided.
