The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group) has updated the ranking of the Russian Federation's constituent entities in terms of the effectiveness of the implementation of the Regional Export Standard 2.0 (RES 2.0) based on the results of ten months. The analytical cut reflects the work of 85 regions that systematically use the tools of RES 2.0 to increase their export potential. Novgorod Region is in 3rd place in the national standings after the Omsk and Ryazan regions. In addition, the region has implemented RES 2.0 ahead of schedule this year, exceeding the minimum implementation threshold by introducing 13 tools.
- For our region, exports are one of the most priority areas for development. A comprehensive support system, including federal and regional tools, cooperation with the Russian Export Center, and most importantly, business interest in establishing ties with foreign partners, have allowed us to expand the sales network of high-quality Novgorod goods. In 2024, the Novgorod Region exported 32% more than in 2023. The export data for the first half of this year is also higher than in the same period in 2024, by 22%. The region's cooperation geography includes 75 countries. Next year, support for export-oriented organizations will continue in full," said Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region.
According to Alexander Molodtsov, Vice President of the REC, the task of increasing Russia's non-primary non-energy exports, which was previously formulated as one of the national goals, has acquired special importance today. - It is extremely important that the subjects of the Russian Federation actively participate in this process, developing the competencies of regional teams that support exports and establish links with foreign partners. The Regional Export Standard 2.0 is designed to help regions create an effective and transparent export support system. RES is exactly what businesses need: a clear set of instructions that describe the “rules of the game.” For companies that want to engage in export activities, the conditions must be at the right level in every region, regardless of their location. RES provides a clear and effective interface for businesses to interact with regional authorities and support institutions,” says Alexander Molodtsov.
In addition, the Regional Export Standard 2.0, developed by the Russian Export Center as part of the International Cooperation and Export National Project, is a comprehensive set of 15 unified tools. It aims to create a favorable environment for exporters and increase the competitiveness of their products and services. The Standard allows regional management teams to systematically support business operations in foreign markets.
