A plenary session of the forum "Strong Ideas for the New Time" was held in Moscow. This year, the forum received over 30,000 applications, with 185 ideas submitted by residents of the Novgorod Region. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the country is now facing a new level of challenges, underscoring the urgent need for ambitious, impactful projects.
In the main competition, the "Krestetskaya Strochka" Factory emerged as the winner in the "Creativity" category. "Krestetskaya Strochka" is a renowned folk-art craft from the Novgorod Region, featuring a unique form of ancient embroidery that has long been celebrated as part of Russia's cultural heritage. Today, the "Krestetskaya Strochka" Factory produces modern, exclusive collections of table linens, home textiles, clothing, and interior items. The President personally commended the work of the Novgorod artisans.
Anton Georgiev, owner of the "Krestetskaya Strochka" factory, stated, "We produce high-quality, handmade clothing. Our goal is to create a national brand that can replace the foreign luxury brands that have withdrawn from the Russian market. And we are succeeding in this endeavour."
The "Krestetskaya Strochka" products have an excellent chance of achieving this goal. The brand's items have already been included in the President's gift fund, earned recognition from famous artists, and are considered part of Russia's cultural heritage. The President of Russian Federation has also expressed his wish for the entrepreneur's success.
