Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region, visited the production of pomegranate juice by the NAR group of companies in Veliky Novgorod.
In early 2024, the investment project to build the plant was approved by members of the Council for Improving the Investment Climate under the Governor of the Novgorod Region. After that, the company purchased the building, made major repairs, built additional networks to ensure the required water consumption, and purchased and installed high-tech equipment. The production of pomegranate juice was launched in 2025. The investment in the project amounted to more than 210 million rubles. As part of the project, 66 jobs were created.
- We chose Veliky Novgorod for our production facility because it is conveniently located: 200 km to St. Petersburg and 500 km to Moscow. We deliver our products all over Russia: from the south to Siberia. However, 50% of sales are made in the capital and St. Petersburg. The Novgorod Region Development Agency has been very helpful in resolving all these issues, - says Marat Shulman, founder of the investor company «Midas» LLC.
The production of pomegranate juice meets technical requirements and quality standards. The latest equipment installed at the plant is highly productive and reliable. The plant monitors and controls the production and technological processes. The production capacity of the bottling line in Veliky Novgorod is 80,000 1-liter bottles per day and 160,000 0.31-liter bottles per day. According to Marat Shulman, his company is a leader in the production of pomegranate juice.
NAR products are sold in all regions of our country and the Republic of Belarus. The assortment is presented in large retail chains. In addition, the enterprise produces drinks under its own trademarks of well-known stores.
Denis Nosachev noted that the employees of the plant are Novgorod residents. All conditions have been created for them to work comfortably. He also emphasized the importance of the fact that the enterprise is high-tech.
- For us, attracting such a modern and socially responsible investor shows that the region is positioning itself correctly. At the same time, it is important for entrepreneurs to feel comfortable not only entering the region, but also doing business here. Therefore, we offer various support measures under the national projects «Efficient and Competitive Economy» and «International Cooperation and Export». For example, last year, «Russian Krai» LLC, which produces juice in the region, participated in a business mission to Belarus, and this spring, colleagues from the Novgorod delegation will travel to Kazakhstan. Last week, with the assistance of the Novgorod Export Support Center, the company, along with other Novgorod producers, represented the region at the international exhibition «Prodexpo» in Moscow, - commented Denis Nosachev.
At the exhibition in the capital, the company received a diploma from ANO «SOYUZEKSPERTIZA» TPP of the Russian Federation (SOEX) «For high consumer properties of goods». Marat Shulman added that at the event, it was possible to exchange useful contacts with representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, to communicate with small regional networks. New connections will allow to expand the partner network. In addition, in the near future, in addition to pomegranate juice, the Novgorod plant will begin to produce pumpkin, apple, cherry and other juices under private labels of federal retail chains.
