On February 17, participants of the SVOi Heroes 53 program, with the assistance of the regional Ministry of Investment Policy, visited the Novgorodskaya Special Economic Zone. The event was attended by Yulia Alekseeva, Deputy Minister and Director of the Investment Department at Ministry of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region.
The meeting was opened by Arthur Zabotin, Senior Advisor at the «Novgorodskaya» SEZ. He spoke about the creation of the SEZ using the competencies of the «Alabuga» SEZ, plans for its development, and cooperation with residents.
- To obtain the status of a resident, first of all, it is necessary to contact the management company and agree on the project of future production in the production building or on the allocated land plot. It is also necessary to agree on the volumes of fuel and energy resources consumption and form an application package of documents, which will then be submitted to the regional government. Today, we have 15 residents, 8 of whom have already started their operations. We are planning the construction of new infrastructure facilities and new production facilities. Residents are engaged in the creation of production facilities, which means new jobs and additional taxes. The multiplier effect of each new job created in the SEZ is five new jobs in Veliky Novgorod and the region, - commented Artur Zabotin.
The meeting also focused on the construction of a modern university campus in Veliky Novgorod as part of the national project «Youth and Children». Arthur Zabotin emphasized that the training of qualified personnel is a priority for the SEZ management company and its residents. The latter are also willing to hire participants in the «SVOi Heroes 53» program.
- Our company is building a factory for the production of metal powders, special paints, and their components. In addition to employment, based on our own experience, we can offer an adaptation program to participants in the special operation, because the «Fort Verny» team consists of former military personnel, said Dmitrii Motin, founder of «Fort Verny» LLC.
Eduard Morozov, Head of Production at «Novye Truby» JSC, made a similar offer. The company is ready to provide training for former soldiers in order to provide them with good working conditions and career prospects. «Novye Truby» JSC produces polyethylene pipes for the construction of engineering networks.
During the tour, the program participants also visited the production facilities of «Zavod Promyshlennogo Oborudovaniya» (manufacturer of electric heat guns) and «MIKSAR» (manufacturer of polymer-based superconcentrates).
In addition, the activities of the Novgorod Special Economic Zone's residents contribute to the region's achievement of the goals set by the national project «Efficient and Competitive Economy».
On February 16, participants of the «SVOi Heroes 53» program were introduced to the system of support for Novgorod businesses. Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region, Evgeniya Alekseeva, Deputy Director of the Novgorod Region Development Agency, and Vasily Shain, Head of the Credit and Financial Department of the Novgorod Small Business Support Fund, spoke to the veterans.
