Corporation has compiled the first comprehensive ranking of Russian regions based on the effectiveness of support measures for small and medium sized businesses on the SME.RF Digital Platform. The Novgorod Region has entered the TOP 10, taking 6th place. This was announced today, on September 2, by the Governor of the Novgorod Region, Alexander Dronov, on his social media accounts. The assessment was based on six key criteria for the first seven months of the year, including the dynamics of demand for services, the reach of the entrepreneurial community, and the speed of processing inquiries. - The platform’s popularity among entrepreneurs and self employed people in the region is growing. Between January and July of this year, 281 service provision applications were received via МСП.RF, whereas in the same period in 2025, there were 109 — a 2.5 fold increase. The resource allows users to take advantage of both regional and federal support measures. In addition, the platform provides access to an extensive knowledge base and useful online services. Digitalization makes it possible for both long standing and aspiring entrepreneurs from the most remote corners of the region to develop with state support without leaving their jobs, commented Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region.
The press service of the SME Corporation noted that the rating will become a regular tool for monitoring the quality of regional support provision online and will be announced quarterly. Let us remind you that the SME Digital Platform. The RF was established by the SME Corporation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation in 2022 and operates within the framework of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy”.
