The National Investment Climate Rating for Russian Regions was announced at the 2024 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The annual rating is compiled by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives in collaboration with major business associations.
According to the latest results, Novgorod Region has once again risen one spot, now tying for fourth place alongside Sakhalin Region.
"I'm grateful for your trust and assessment of our work," the Governor Andrei Nikitin emphasized. "Our Novgorod entrepreneurs have provided valuable feedback, which we appreciate. We know we must continually improve and progress, as our great nation of Russia moves ever forward - and we are committed to advancing alongside it."
Over the four days of the forum, the Novgorod Region signed over 20 agreements covering investment, IT cooperation, transport infrastructure, and education. These agreements represent nearly $8 billion in investments and 700 new jobs, which will foster the development of numerous enterprises and enhance the region's social sphere. Additionally, most of the agreements express a commitment to sharing best practices.
