Evgenii Bogdanov, First Deputy Governor of the Novgorod Region, together with Alexander Dementiev, Head of the Novgorod Region, Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy, and Viktor Bykov, Director of the Novgorod Region Development Agency, visited the Novgorodskaya SEZ. During the visit, they inspected the production of industrial electric heat guns under the HINTEK brand. It was launched by one of the 12 residents of the SEZ, Industrial Equipment Plant LLC. The organization is a member of the Elcom group of companies, that is a developer, manufacturer and supplier of energy-efficient equipment, one of the leaders of the electrical market in Russia and the CIS countries.
Dmitrii Tikhomirov, General Director of the plant, spoke about the current work of the resident and plans for the near future: "The launch of a new production facility is an important step in the development of our company. We are confident that this project will allow us to achieve high efficiency rates and ensure return on investment in the shortest possible time.
"The new production facility will allow us to more fully implement our company's strategy to replace foreign equipment, strengthen not only our company's position in the market, but also contribute to the development of the region's economy. And our customers will have access to a wide range of high-quality domestic products," says Dmitrii Tikhomirov.
Artur Ayupov, General Director of the Novgorodskaya SEZ, in turn, noted that the investor has extensive experience in sales and production of electrical equipment. The implementation of the project will reduce the import dependence of the domestic market. The placement of production on the territory of the SEZ is quite a logical decision, since the ready-made industrial infrastructure of the SEZ fully meets the needs of the resident, which allowed for a fairly short time to start production.
Evgenii Bogdanov also emphasized the efficiency and effectiveness of the joint work of the enterprise and SEZ teams. It took a little over a year from the moment of obtaining resident status to the start of production:
"Novgorodskaya SEZ is developing at a rapid pace. It has become the region’s calling card. In the VII National Rating of investment Attractiveness of Russia's special Economic zones for 2024, our SEZ rose from 20th to 16th place, thereby confirming its status as a promising investment platform for the economy. The visit also included an inspection of infrastructure facilities, including industrial and technological park, electric substation, highways.
In addition, the Novgorodskaya SEZ operates within the framework of the priority regional project "Formation and development of modern infrastructure for investment and business entities in the Novgorod Region." Since 2025, support for investors in the Novgorod region has been provided within the framework of a federal project "Increasing Investment Activity, being part of the national project "Efficient and competitive economy".
