Denis Nosachev, Minister of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region, received a letter of appreciation for effective implementation of the mechanism for new investment projects and comprehensive support for investors, as well as for management of the special economic zone and creation of favourable conditions for attracting investments at the II Congress of Economy Ministers of the RF Constituent Entities which was held in Moscow on 15 November 2024.
“The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia noted the work of our region in terms of the efficiency of spending funds under the budget loan restructuring mechanism and the efficiency of SEZ management. We appreciate this attention because many constituent entities have their own commendable practices and developments. We all have something to learn from each other. Nevertheless, it was our region’s decision to direct the major portion of funds released due to restructuring of budget loans toward the infrastructure of the Novgorodskaya Special Economic Zone that the colleagues from the Federal Ministry expressed a high opinion of. Certainly, this is appreciation of decisions of the Novgorod Region’s Governor, the entire team of our economic block and the Novgorodskaya SEZ. Indeed, the volume of work connected with creation of the utility and transport infrastructure to accommodate investors in the SEZ is tremendous. The scale of the large construction project is especially noticeable now. More than 100 specialists are involved and almost 200 people are already working for three residents of the zone who have launched production. These are Marshall FT, Energotek and Novye Truby. Their cumulative investments will exceed 900 million rubles. It goes without saying that development of the SEZ has contributed to increasing the investment attractiveness of our region as a whole. But we would not have achieved such significant results without the support of the Ministry of Economic Development. We thank the colleagues for their attention to the Novgorod Region and assistance in implementing our projects,” Denis Nosachev commented.
The award was presented to head of the regional Investment Policy Ministry by Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of Russia. Speaking at the Congress, he, in particular, stated that the regional economic departments should primarily concentrate on maximum support of investment activity on the part of the business and on the supply-side economy in general. Maxim Reshetnikov also noted that regions need to ensure conditions for the immediate launch of new national projects right after their approval.
